I'm convinced that there truly is a God. So if I was ever to meet someone that said they were an atheist, my first reaction would be? I would shake their hand and pat them on the back. Yes. You read that right.

If there is anything I've learnt, religion has pushed normal individuals and their faith into a corner without a way out. Nowadays people make choices and decisions by purely what they have been told by their peers or parents. This choice is hammered into their minds by the influence of the society or community, giving this individual no space or freedom to think about his/her faith properly. That isn't faith, that's called being brain washed into something you don't believe in and too afraid to express your on views. Its why atheists stand out, they actually gave in the time to think about it. If something works for them, they're entitled to their rights to believe in which they have faith in.

Faith, keeps us going even at our most lowest and darkest points, it has trumped in many occasions, the whole objective of free will is to generate your own faith. If that isn't achieved, then the whole point of free will is defeated.

"it's the thought that counts"

A meaning full phrase but when when life give us the opportunity to act upon those thoughts and we don't. Then those thoughts are useless to everyone. No one can go through life with "good intentions". It's just the start.

"actions speak louder than words"

We're judged on what we do and when we do it. Again, if it was just a thought and it was not acted up, that is useless. I believe that God cannot hear our thoughts if he could then the use of free will is gone.
Life is unfair, it always will be, but how you handle it is what make us who you are.
